Several Ladycats athletes competed in the UIL 1A State Track and Field Meet and had outstanding performances.
Newcastle ISD released a statement congratulating the athletes who qualified and performed in the tournament.
“Three Ladycats competed at the UIL 1A State Track and Field Championship on May 3. They did outstanding and we are incredibly proud of their performances,” the post stated. “Congratulations on a successful season. Your coaches are extremely proud.”
The athletes who participated in the event were Allison Melton, Camren Mallory and Catherine Youngblood.
