Late outburst powers Lady Blues over Mineral Wells
Friday night’s Lady Blues win over Mineral Wells was not a perfect game. Instead, the team provided signs of progress it has been looking for all season. The Lady Blues scored six runs over the final two innings to post an 8-2 win over the Lady Rams in Mineral Wells.
The Lady Blues had four errors in the game. Two errors of which allowed unearned runs. What stood out is how quickly the team overcame those errors. The first example occurred during the first inning.
Morgan Patterson picked up the first hit of the game. She took a 2-0 pitch deep into center field for a one-out triple. Callie Dobbs then lined out to left field. Dobbs hit deep enough to allow Patterson to score after tagging up, giving the Lady Blues a 1-0 lead.
