The Lady Blues opened with a run, but it was a run by visiting Stamford that made the difference. The Lady Blues could not overcome a late 9-0 run by the Lady Bulldogs and ultimately fell 43-41 Tuesday night at Graham High School.

Points were difficult to come by in the opening quarter. Both teams combined for five field goals. The Lady Blues opened the game with a 9-0 run, holding the Lady Bulldogs without points until the 2:48 mark of the quarter. Taylor Wilborn started the scoring for the Lady Blues with a 1-2 trip to the free-throw line. She later added a 2-point field goal for three points in the quarter. Cambrie Cowser converted an and-one opportunity with just under six minutes left in the quarter. Kate Gober had the final points of the quarter for the Lady Blues with a 3-pointer. The Lady Bulldogs scored five points to cut the deficit to four by the end of the quarter.

It was in the middle quarters where the Lady Bulldogs pulled ahead of the Lady Blues. The Lady Blues struggled to hit shots and were outscored 26-16 combined in the second and third quarters. There were plenty of second-chance opportunities to be had with 13 rebounds on a total of 24 missed shots.
