Volleyball season ended for the Lady Blues last week with a hard-fought loss to Decatur in the area round of the playoffs.

While it’s tough to see the year end, especially for a large group of seniors on the roster, the conclusion of the season brings the postseason awards.

And the Graham Lady Blues won plenty of those.

Beginning with District 6-4A honors, which are voted on by coaches, the Lady Blues earned a handful of awards. Senior Lillian Noble was named District Offensive MVP for her abilities and the powerful threat she was to opposing defenses.

Following Noble, senior Braylee Mayes and junior Kaden Atwood were both named First Team All-District.

Three other seniors were named Second Team All-District, as Emi Gordy, Camden Thorne and Georgia Martin earned selections.

Senior Annemarie McHenry, along with juniors Rylee Moore and Madison Cauble were all awarded Honorable Mentions All-District.

One aspect of the postseason awards of which head coach Marci Faulk is incredibly proud is the fact that her entire team was named Academic All-District.

Gordy, Atwood, Mayes, Noble, Cauble, Thorne, Martin, McHenry and Moore all made this team, as well as senior Rebecca McGregor, juniors Giada Cardella and Tara Dawson, sophomore Katie McGehee and freshman Kya Cooper.

In addition to Academic All-District, multiple Lady Blues were named to the Academic All-State teams.

Gordy and Thorne were named First Team Academic All-State, while Martin, McGregor, Noble, McHenry and Mayes were all selected to Second Team Academic All-State.
