Loesch commits to play at NCTC

Graham Steers baseball pitcher Owen Loesch announced this week that he has committed to play collegiate baseball at North Central Texas College in Gainesville. The left-handed hurler proved to be a huge part of the Steers' success last season. After throwing a perfect game during the 2017 season on the JV team, Loesch turned heads on his first year starting at the varsity level. Loesch, an incoming senior, finished third on the team with 27-1/3 innings pitched and second on the squad with 32 strikeouts. He finished third with a .371 average and second with 22 runs-batted-in at the plate. Perhaps his finest moment came last season in Graham's opening-round playoff game in the bi-district round against two-time defending state champion, Abilene Wylie. The Bulldogs came into the matchup ranked No. 2 in Class 4A. Wylie had no answer for the southpaw on the mound. Loesch shutdown a lineup like no opposing pitcher did the entire season by....
