There are some changes ahead in the Graham High School athletic department. Maddie Miller, an assistant athletic trainer, will be taking a head athletic trainer job in Jacksboro High School this summer.

Miller, a 2008 graduate of GHS, will take over in Jacksboro after the conclusion of the school year or baseball season, whichever happens later. Currently, the Steers baseball team is in the area playoff against Springtown. The last day of school is May 28. GHS head athletic trainer Mike Carroll credits Miller for helping him get started at the high school three years ago.

“To be able to come here as the new guy three years ago (...) Maddie just did a great job getting me up to speed on a lot of things,” he said. “Because she’s a Graham girl, I was able to gain so much historical knowledge from her about families and different injuries that students had in the past. She has just been a tremendous asset not only to me personally, but to our program and our kids and our coaches.”
