The postseason began this week in track and field with two Young County schools hosting district track meets.
Newcastle hosted the District 17-1A track meet Monday, April 6. Graham High School hosted District 6-4A Championships held April 8-9, with final events taking place after press time.
The Bobcats and Ladycats will be represented by 14 athletes in the area track meet, taking place Monday, April 20, in Forestburg.
Athletes finishing in the top four of their respective events advance in the track and field playoff format.
