Newcastle Lady Cats fall vs. Haskell

It’s safe to say there was anything but a festive mood Friday night in Newcastle. The Lady Cats found themselves in a physical battle with Haskell before the holiday break, eventually falling 53-38. A close first quarter saw Newcastle trailing by just one point going into the second at 10-9. Things got better before the break as the Lady Cats took control and led 23-18 at halftime. However, Haskell used the third quarter as its own momentum boost, taking the lead back from the Lady Cats at 34-30.
