When looking at a 21-17 score would be easy to think that offense was dominating the day on the softball field. That was not the case Tuesday night when the Lady Blues won 21-17 against their visitors, Mineral Wells. The teams combined for 38 runs and 13 errors. They also combined for 17 unearned runs.

Both offenses did damage with a combined 38 hits between both teams, start with two in the first inning by Mineral Wells. The Lady Rams took an early lead with a one-out RBI single.

The errors began with Mineral Wells in the bottom half of the opening inning. Marilyn Milton led off by reaching base on an error. She advanced to second by another error and reached third via a steal. Morgan Patterson brought in the unearned run with a triple on a 2-1 count. Four pitchers later, Patterson was brought in on a sacrifice fly by Meagan Brooks. Amanda Birdwell reached base on an RBI linedrive to right field. The Lady Blues held a brief 3-1 lead after the inning.
