The Lady Blues closed out the district schedule with a 3-0 sweep of the Mineral Wells Lady Rams Tuesday evening at Graham High School. Senior night was capped off poetically with the final two points scored by the two seniors, Emma Parker and Rachel Grimsley as the Lady Blues defeated the Lady Rams, 25-19, 25-7, 25-17.

The Lady Rams held one lead in the opening set, a 1-0 lead after the Lady Blues were called for a violation at the net. Trinity Gregory scored three kills over the following four rallies to start a 5-1 run. Two points are as close as the Lady Rams could get for the remainder of the set. Gregory led the Lady Blues in the first set with five kills.

The second set started with a 6-0 run by the Lady Blues. Gregory, Grimsley and Braylee Mayes each earned kills in the run. The Lady Blues did not allow the Lady Rams to score on back-to-back rallies during the set. Parker led the Lady Blues with three kills, including one block/kill and two aces.

The final set gave the Lady Blues an opportunity to play deeper into the bench. Every player on the Lady Blues roster had an opportunity in the final home district match of the season. While the set was the closest of the match, the Lady Blues led the duration of the set. Six different Lady Blues earned points in the set. The district season and senior night were capped off in an appropriate fashion.
