Writer's note: The Graham Leader is continuing to take submissions from senior spring sports athletes who missed out on having a senior night due to COVID-19. Spring sports seniors are invited to send a senior letter and a picture to sports@grahamleader.com.

Chloe Menard has been a three-sport superstar at Graham High School. In the fall, she capped off her senior season with all-state honors in volleyball. Menard was one of 20 seniors in Class A through Class 4A to be named to the Legacy All-Star Team by the Texas Girls’ Coaches Association. She was a member of four district-winning teams with a combined record of 138-30. As a member of the Lady Blues basketball team, she averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game en route to earning all-district honors this past winter. In track, she is a two-time Graham High School record holder as a member of the 4x200 relay team (1:42.79) and in triple jump. After high school, Menard will play volleyball at Lubbock Christian University.
This is her senior letter:

“As I look back and reminisce the past four years of being part of Graham Athletics, it definitely makes me somewhat emotional. I have been blessed to have four unimaginable years playing volleyball, basketball, and running and jumping in track and field.
Being a Graham Lady Blue has meant so much more to me than I can even explain. I have such a passion for the sports I partake in, and I feel extremely bitter sweet about it being over, although I am so happy that it happened.
Having my final track season cut short is definitely upsetting. I pray that we will get to continue this season once everything has calmed down. I have learned so much the past four years of being on the Graham track team. I have made friends that will last a lifetime and memories that I will forever hold onto.
When I step onto the track or the runway I get into a zone. I always get butterflies in my stomach before running or jumping. I miss this feeling more than anything. It is very easy to feel sad about possibly not getting to finish the year, however, I love looking back on all of our accomplishments throughout the years. Going to state, breaking the 4x2 and the triple jump record, being district champions three years in a row, and being area champs for the first time in Graham girls history! I am forever proud of my team and everything we have done. The opportunities we have been given are incredible!
This team is something extremely special to me and I continue to have hope that we will get to make more memories this year and finish off our senior season on a positive note!”
