The Graham Steers entered the weekend with momentum in their favor and a six-game win streak. Things took a drastic turn following back-to-back losses to Burkburnett and Godley Friday and Saturday.

Burkburnett 4, Steers 3

The Steers out-hit the Bulldogs 8-3 and carried a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning. Four errors led to two unearned runs and a walk-off win for Burkburnett Friday night.

Landon Harless took the mound for the Steers and held the Bulldogs to two hits while striking out 10 batters. Offensively, Harless received little support until the sixth inning.

Noah Jilek gave the Steers a runner on base with a walk to start the game. Following a pop out in foul territory by Ben Williams, Jilek stole second base with Parker Johnson at bat. Mason Milton entered as a courtesy runner for Jilek following the steal. Milton was left stranded at second base following strikeouts by Johnson and Ty Thompson.
