The Graham Steers football team had a long, successful season as they posted a 10-2 overall record which included a bi-district championship trophy.

While the season ended earlier and in a way many weren’t hoping for, the Steers showed out all season and they’ve now earned the postseason awards to back that up.

In District 3-4A, many of the Steers players were named to All-District teams while a few won higher individual awards. Junior running back Rylan Monsey was named District Offensive MVP and senior defensive back Zathin Reyes took home the District Defensive MVP award.

Senior wide receiver/defensive back Peyton Kinman and senior offensive lineman Talan Yowell made 1st Team All-District along with juniors quarterback Ty Thompson, offensive lineman Colter Johnson, wide receiver Brayden Riggins, linebacker Jayton Hearne, defensive back Ryder Taylor and linebacker Mason Milton.

Selections for 2nd Team All-District were given to senior defensive linemen Kaleb Crawford and Bowen Boenisch, defensive back Tate Loesch and offensive lineman Riley Lanham. Juniors named to the 2nd Team included defensive lineman Blake Bergeson and wide receiver Harison Brockway. Sophomore running back Jace Gill made the 2nd Team, as well.

Graham received several Honorable Mentions with a handful of juniors receiving the honors. Offensive linemen Ben Davidson and Jordan Dunson, linebacker Mateo Rodriguez, kicker Ozzy Trejo, defensive lineman Scout Smith and tight end Hayden Horn all were named Honorable Mentions.

A few Steers also received honors for their work in the classroom in addition to their performance on the field. Senior offensive lineman Riley Lanham and senior defensive linemen Riley Lanham and Cody Epperson were named Academic All-State.
