Steers fall short in Mineral Wells

The Graham Steers allowed a late lead to slip Tuesday night in a 75-72 loss on the road to Mineral Wells.

The young Steers roster has struggled throughout the season and continues to show signs of progress as the season wears on. Tuesday night, the Steers outshot their hosts by a short margin 44.6% to 44.3%, including a 64-56% advantage from inside the 3-point arc. A 6-2 advantage from behind the arc made the difference in the loss.

The Steers led the Rams in several statistical categories and took a lead into halftime and the third quarter after the two teams were tied 18-18 following an early lead by the Rams to open the game. The Steers outscored the Rams over the second and third quarters to take a 54-48 lead into the fourth quarter.
