The Graham Steers celebrated a largely successful 2020 football season Monday night at Graham High School. The team gathered one last time for a year-end celebration banquet and to receive medals awarded as state semi-finalists.

Prior to honoring the athletes, attendees enjoyed a barbecue sandwich dinner in the commons area. At the start of the recognition ceremony Pastor Joe Finfrock of Oak Street Baptist church offered an opening prayer. Following the prayer and opening remarks, Finfrock gave Steers coach Kenny Davidson a custom Steers jersey commemorating Davidson’s 100th win. Davidson, the winningest coach in Steers history won his 100th game at Mineral Wells on Oct. 30.

After introducing the freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams, Davidson commented on each game of the 2020 season. Following the season review, year-end awards were handed out. Lineman Javier Leija earned most improved player.
