Steers, Lady Blues track teams dominate district meet

For the second time in two years, the Graham track and field teams dominated their district meet. Several athletes turned in personal best performances and as a result 34 GHS varsity performers advanced to the area meet which will be in a few weeks. Performers needed to qualify in the top four of their running or field event finals to advance to the area round.

The Lady Blues team blew past their competition, winning by a remarkable 95 points in front of Wichita Falls Hirschi Thursday at the District 6-4A meet held at Newton Field.

Khloe Morris accounted for a pair of gold medals in the 800-meter run and the 1,600-meter run. Summer Croxton turned in a first place performance in the 200-meter run with a run of 25.56 ....
