The Possum Kingdom Relays returned to Graham High School Saturday morning. The annual meet returned for its 73rd event after last year’s pandemic-related postponement.

This year’s meet was a smaller-scaled version of what teams and fans are both used to. Neither small schools nor JV teams were allowed at this year’s event as UIL regulations limited the meet to eight teams. JV teams could have participated if only four varsity teams were invited.

Graham took second place overall in the boys scores and fifth in the girls meet. In total, GHS posted top 3 finishes in 13 events combined between boys and girls. Ben Williams and Mary Lyndell Graham each earned first-place finishes in the triple jump and 3200-meter run, respectively.
