Steers powerlifting competes at Decatur

DECATUR - With the regular season winding down, Graham’s boys varsity team traveled to Decatur last Thursday for the Decatur Invitational, with Graham registering one-two finishes in two separate weight divisions. As a team, the Steers finished in third place with 33 points. Iowa Park claimed the team title with 56 points. Graham had a one-two finish in the 198- and 242-pound classes. Joel Jones captured the overall title at 198, with season bests in all three events. Jones squatted 540, benched 300 and dead lifted 560 for a total of 1,400 pounds. Joseph Aguilar claimed second overall in the 198-pound class with a total of 1,165 pounds, also registering season bests in all events.
