The Graham Steers, on their longest playoff run since 2017, will meet a familiar opponent this evening. The Aubrey Chaparrals await the Steers for a meeting at Globe Life Park at 6:30 p.m. this evening.

With a minute left in the game, it appeared that Greenwood, not Aubrey was going to be tonight’s opponent. Bryson Bohannon missed a game-tying field goal with 56 seconds remaining. They regained possession on a botched kneel attempt 12 seconds later. On the next play, Jacob Holder saved the day with a 12-yard touchdown reception to complete the victory.

The Chaparrals will bring the Wing-T offense. It’s a running-heavy offense with lots of counters and misdirections. The passing game will consist of short slants and play-action passes. Last week, against Greenwood, the Chaps ran the ball 52 times for 188 yards.
