Steers ring in holiday with back-to-back wins
The Graham Steers closed out the year 2020 and opened 2021 with victories last week with home wins over Cleburne and Petrolia. The wins extend the Steers’ winning streak to open the season with a four-game winning streak.

In basketball, some teams live and die by the 3-point shot. Cleburne opted to play by this strategy to its detriment Thursday in a New Year’s Eve matinée.
The Yellowjackets hit two 3-pointers early to lead 6-4 with 6:06 remaining in the first. Hunter Lanham answered with an inside basket to draw even after failing an and-one attempt. Lanham’s basket was the first of an 11-0 Steers run to close out the first and set the tone for the remainder of the game.
