The Steers completed a back-to-back sweep of Hirschi Friday afternoon at Hoskins Field in Wichita Falls. After scoring 14 runs in a win Tuesday last week, the Steers won 21-0 in five innings. Raider Horn pitched a one-hit shutout.

The offense, aided by five Hirshi errors, scored on 10 hits and 13 walks. Corey Ballew was the lone multi-hit player for the Steers while Horn and Hebert each earned three walks. Every Steer player to take an at-bat scored at least one run with Horn, Hebert, Nick Helm and Oscar Flores each scoring three runs.

“The real worry in these games is that you’ll play too loose or play down to your opponent,” Steers coach Jim Bob Williams said. “Hirschi is a team that plays real hard. They’re not there with the skill level, but they’re going to give you everything.”
