There was a definite sense of frustration in the way the Graham Steers played Friday night at home. After suffering two close defeats by five points or less, the Steers got back to winning ways with a dominant 75-46 victory over Springtown. Graham (8-2) was scheduled to take on Krum Monday afternoon, their last game before the holiday break. The Steers will be in tournament action beginning Dec. 27 at Fredricksburg. Right out of the gate, Graham’s offense went to work, going on an 11-6 run. Springtown though made a run to close the gap to five points at 18-13 going into the second quarter. Unlike their last contest against Mineral Wells, the Steers made sure there was to be no comeback this time around. A strong defensive effort by the Steers held the Porcupines to just four points in the second quarter, as Graham led 33-17 at halftime. Both offenses came out in the third at a fast pace.
