DSHS distributes COVID vaccines to Young County, surrounding counties

The Texas Department of State Health Services tasked the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ship more than 818,410 first doses of COVID-19 vaccines to providers during the sixteenth week of COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Aside from large vaccine hubs, additional vaccines are still being distributed to smaller providers in other parts of the state including Young County for an eighth week in a row.

DSHS is allocating 818,410 doses to 779 providers in 202 counties this week with an 200,000 additional first doses available to pharmacy locations and federally-qualified health centers from the federal government.

Area providers which will be receiving vaccine doses this week are Brazos Family Clinic in Young County (100 Moderna doses), Graham Regional Medical Center in Young County (100 Johnson & Johnson doses), United Pharmacy in Young County (400 Johnson & Johnson doses), Young County Family Clinic in Young County (100 Johnson & Johnson doses), Lovett-Meredith Rural Health Clinic/Olney Family Clinic in Young County (100 Johnson & Johnson doses), Throckmorton Rural Health Clinic in Throckmorton County (100 Moderna doses), Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Walker Sayle Unit in Stephens County (100 Johnson & Johnson doses), DSHS Mineral Wells in Palo Pinto County (100 Moderna doses), Simply Health Mobile Clinic in Palo Pinto County (100 Johnson & Johnson doses), Jack County Medical Clinic in Jack County (100 Moderna doses) and Eagle Pharmacy in Archer County (100 Moderna doses).
