A total of three rollover wrecks occurred within almost a 24-hour period across different areas of Young County from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Rocky Mound Road rollover

The Young County Sheriff’s Office responded at 8:51 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 with other local emergency units to a vehicle rollover wreck in the 2900 block of Rocky Mound Road.

Graham EMS, Graham Fire Department, Salt Creek VFD and other emergency units arrived and assisted in extraction of the driver, Donald Kramer, from the unloaded Mack dump truck.

According to YCSO, Kramer was traveling west toward Hwy. 16 N on Rocky Mound Road when the vehicle left the roadway on a left curve and he lost control. The vehicle skidded into the east barrow ditch when it rolled over onto the passenger side and rested against the fence line.

Kramer sustained minor injuries and was able to walk away from the wreck once extracted from the vehicle.

FM 209, Hwy. 114 rollovers

Local units responded at 8:57 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 to a vehicle rollover wreck on FM 209 before Holcomb Lane.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Mack dump truck was traveling west on FM 209 when the right tires of the unit went off of the pavement and caused the vehicle to swerve. The driver, Monte Jackson, of Mingus, overcorrected and then rolled the vehicle.

Jackson was transported to Graham Regional Medical Center with “undisclosed injuries.”

An hour later, at approximately 10 a.m., local units responded to another rollover wreck on Hwy. 114 between Wilson Road and JK Farm Road.

According to DPS, a dodge pickup towing a trailer was traveling west on Hwy. 114 when the driver of the vehicle, Emilio Lastre, of Houston, began swerving the vehicle for an unknown reason.

The vehicle left the road on the north side of Hwy. 114 at a side skid and then rolled into a fence line. Lastre was uninjured in the wreck.
