Gerald “Jerry” Forest Lyons, 53, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at his home in Walnut Springs. Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Lyons Family Cemetery in Eliasville under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jerry was born May 11, 1968, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Jana Truena (Westfall) and David Forest Lyons, Sr.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a Fiberglass Tech in the marine industry.

Jerry was an avid inventor who loved to fabricate things with his own hands. You could always find him tinkering on old cars, trucks, and boats. Jerry loved all animals and was fond of stray cats that needed some love. Jerry was a barrel of fun and will be sorely missed by all.

Survivors include: father, David Lyons, Sr. and wife, Karlene of Eliasville; brothers, David Lyons, Jr., and wife, Vanessa of Glen Rose, Matthew Lyons and wife, Kelly of Houston, and Joseph Lyons and wife, Anita of Keller; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jana Truena Lyons.
