Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Ranger

Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Ranger, 80, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at his home in Graham. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jerry was born June 5, 1941, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, to the late Charlie and Vivian Evelyn (Torwick) Lindenschmidt. He married Margaret Bell April 6, 1963 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada. Jerry received his bachelor’s degree from University of Oklahoma and worked in the oil & gas operations over 50 years in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. He owned and operated Ranger Operating Company for 47 years. Jerry was very active in local baseball organization and coached all his sons in Babe Ruth. He served on the Young County Appraisal Board, Graham East Water Board and was past President of the Graham Booster Club.

Survivors include: wife, Margaret Ranger of Graham; sons, Ron Ranger of Graham, Brian Ranger of Graham, Steven Ranger and wife, Colbie of Graham, and Jason Ranger of Graham; sister, Darlene Frasz of Butte, Montana; grandchildren, Emma, Evan and Rylee Ranger.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Brent Lindenschmidt.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army or Meals on Wheels.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
