Jimmy was born Jan. 10, 1963 in Graham to the late James Davis Skidmore and Hazel Marie (Sanders) Skidmore. Jimmy grew up in Graham and married Valerie Harlow on Jan. 31, 1987. If Jimmy could speak to us today he would not ask for a glowing obituary. He genuinely disliked personal publicity and consistently evaded the limelight. Jimmy was a man who lived by the side of the road and watched the race of man go by.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Valerie of Graham, his daughter Saxon Yarbrough and William Reagan of Fort Worth, and his son Keaton Skidmore and wife Sarah of Graham. Jimmy is survived by his grandchildren, Holden Yarbrough and Finley Nevarez. Jimmy is also survived by his brother, Roger Skidmore and wife Susan of Graham and his sister, Karen Holloway and husband Robert of Dallas. Jimmy is also survived by his mother-in-law, Liz Harlow of Graham, brother-in-law, Chris Harlow and wife Ann of Royce City, sister-in-law, Jennifer Vargas and husband Roger of San Antonio, brother-in-law, Clay Smith of San Antonio and by many cousins, nieces and nephews, plus a special host of lifelong friends in Graham and throughout Texas.
