Leta Harrell

Leta Harrell, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Graham Friday, Jan. 22, 2021. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021 at the Gazebo in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Leta was born Aug. 25, 1931 in Bryson, Texas to the late Etha Eliza (Coonrod) Ashley and Harry Ashley. She married Edward Harrell Dec. 23, 1947. He preceded her in death Feb. 23, 2019. Leta was a member First United Methodist Church Graham and past member of Cracker Town Sams. She was an extremely talented seamstress and love to crochet.

Survivors include; daughter, Pam Erwin and husband Aaron; sons, Freddie Harrell and Ronnie Harrell and wife Karon all of Graham; grandchildren, Lisa McGehee, Virgil Willis, Aaron Erwin, Jr. and wife Amy, Laura Kay Grayson and husband Will, and Frankie Erwin and wife Taylor; seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Leta was preceded in death by daughter, Jean Adams, great grandson, Awetry Erwin, and siblings, Edith Irene Harden, Maudi Pearl Ashley, Alonzo Howard (Pete) Ashley, Clarence Alford Ashley, Francis Marion (Corky) Ashley, Freddie Bruce Ashley, Irvan Homer Ashley, Arthur Edward Ashley, and Floyd Harold Ashley.  

A heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers Debra Stanton and Becky Hobbs.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that Memorials be made to First United Methodist Church Samaritan Fund, or Our Daily Bread, PO Box 88, Graham, Texas 76450, or your favorite charity.
