Steven Wayne Stansell, 69, passed away at his home in Graham on July 20, 2022. A graveside service will be held at Loving Cemetery, Saturday, July 23, at 8 a.m. under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Steve was born in Graham on March 26, 1953, to the late David Wayne Stansell and Verna Mae Tilghman Stansell. He married Phyllis Hearne on July 28, 1972. He was an avid craftsman who enjoyed building things for his family and friends. He and Phyllis always made holidays fun and special for their children and grandchildren. Steve liked games of all kinds and would play them with his family. He also enjoyed spending time at the farm in Senate with his brother and nephew working on projects. When he was not working on projects, he could be found in his shop relaxing watching NASCAR or sports of any kind.

He is survived by his son Jesse Stansell and wife Melannie, daughter Trina West and husband Josh, brother Dennis Stansell and wife Lee Ann, sister Sherry Reddell; and four grandchildren: Chapel West, Laken West, Lena Stansell, and Brick Stansell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Phyllis in 2020, and by a brother-in-law, Ronnie Reddell.
