Betty Lou Brown Roberts, 81, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022. Family and friends visitation will be Saturday Feb. 12, 2022, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home. Graveside funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Brooks Cemetery in Young County.
Glen Wayne Burleson, age 65, passed away in Fort Worth the morning of Feb. 9, 2022. The family will receive guests for a visitation Sunday afternoon from Noon until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Graham.
Glen was born in Graham on Nov. 20, 1956, to the late Glen Ray Burleson and Gayle (Ross) Burleson.
Georgia Mae Holland (93) passed Jan. 7, 2022 after a brief illness. Georgia was born in Santo, TX. on Aug. 4, 1928 and lived in Anoka, Minn., Alamo, TX., and Graham, TX. where she attended First Baptist Church and retired from Hexcel. Georgia was preceded in death by husbands Hershel Crook, John Lefler, Bob Holland, and son Ronnie Crook. Husbands were all veterans along with son. She is survived by sons Roger Crook and L Jay Crook, Grandsons Chris and Mike along with two Great grandsons. Any donations will benefit the Food bank of Lubbock.
Shelly Lane Logan, 49, passed away in McKinney on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022. A graveside funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 at 1 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham.
Shelly was born in Canyon, Texas on June 11, 1972, to Gerald and Diane Logan. She was a former resident of Euless and had moved to a new home in Melissa in August 2021. Shelly was employed by Ashton Woods Custom Home Builders, where she had received several awards for employee of the month and year.
Richard G. Armstrong, 71, passed away at his home Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022. A Memorial Graveside was held Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. in Veal Creek Cemetery in Stephens County. Arrangements were under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Wilbert Wallace “Sam” Brown Jr., 79, passed away at Elison Assisted Living & Memory Care in Graham on Feb. 2, 2022.
Sam was born March 11, 1942, to W.W. (Buck) Brown and Mary (Kirksey) Brown in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Only 10 days after her husband and partner of 80 years left the bonds of earth, Virgie Potts Young, 96, followed on Jan. 29, 2022.
A longtime resident of Post, Virgie Christine Potts Young was born May 27, 1925, in Jack County, Texas, second child and only daughter of Hugh Dinsmore and Ada (Ainsworth) Potts.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sterman Young, on Jan. 19, 2022; both parents and brothers C.L. Potts, Vernon Potts, Weldon Potts and James Ray (J.R.) Potts. Also, grandson Brent Bolin and son-in-law Pete Daniel.
Richard Boone, 61, of Graham, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2022. A memorial service was held from 2-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, in Bunger, Texas.
Boone was born Nov. 7, 1960, to Billy and Mary Buckley. He was married to Linda Darlene Shahan in Young County June 11, 1979. He was a commercial truck driver in the oil and gas industry.
Marcy Rhea House Price, 44, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at her home in Graham. Marcy was born Feb. 1, 1977, in Graham to Judy and Mark House. She attended Graham schools and was a member of Hillside Church of Christ. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend.
Dorothy Edens was reunited with her mother and siblings after passing away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Graham.
