Nathan Leon Herpeche, 57, of Graham, died on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 25. He was cremated by McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home who was in charge of services.

He was born in Crowell April 27, 1962 to Gaston Nathan “Cap” Herpeche and Jean Ann Hollis Herpeche Pratt.

He was an oilfield pumper and mechanic. He was a former CO at Lindsey State Jail. He loved to fish and spend time with his family. He was most proud of being a father and grandfather. He will be missed by numerous family members and friends.

Thomas “Tom” David Shawver Sr., 80, went to be with his Lord on Aug. 21, 2019 at his home in Young County surrounded by his family.

A visitation was held at Bible Baptist Church from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26.

A funeral service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 27 at Newport Baptist Church.

Alice Marie Blaine passed away Aug. 25, 2019 at her home near Graham. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home with interment following at the Medlan Chapel Cemetery. Family visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Alice was born May 6, 1952 in Fremont, Neb. and moved to Graham in 1973. She had worked as a custom harvester and at Graham Magnetics.

Inez Williamson Heggie, 101, passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019 in Houston, just two weeks short of her 102nd birthday. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22 at First United Methodist Church in Graham. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham. Family visitation was on Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.

A memorial service for her many Houston friends and family will also be held in Houston in the Chapel at The Clarewood House, 7400 Clarewood Dr. on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m.

Nancy Jane Sloan, 78, resident of Newcastle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones Monday, Aug. 19, 2019.

Nancy was born in Krum Oct. 17, 1940 and is the daughter of Robert Lee Harris and Gladys Maud Harris (Davis). Nancy was married to Doyle Rhea Sloan on Nov. 26, 1965. She was a loving mother and grandmother, caring friend and devoted wife to Doyle. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Olney.

Jim Langley, Sr., 60, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Morrison Funeral Home.

Esther Lois McMillan passed away Aug. 18, 2019 in Graham at the age of 92 years. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in McAdams (Pickwick) Cemetery in Palo Pinto County.

Jeanette Lavay Popp 69 years old, of Bryson, went to be with our lord and savior on the morning of Aug. 15, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21 at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home in Graham. Jeanette’s battle with lung cancer has finally been won when our father gave Jeanette ultimate healing.

Billy Ray Alcorn, 80, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 at his home in Graham. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Graham. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Visitation was Monday, Aug. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham.

Bill was born Nov. 18, 1938 in Flint Creek Community to the late J.W. “Jack” and Fannie (Worsham) Alcorn. He married Ruth Maxey on June 3, 1977 in Graham and she preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 2017.

Letha Pearl Hopkins passed away Aug. 12, 2019 in Gun Barrel City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home with interment following in Graceland Cemetery near Jermyn.

Letha was born March 14, 1933 in Lamesa and was a long-time resident of Bryson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryson.

Growing up Letha was also known as Red and Freck but almost everyone, friends and family, knew her as Nan.

In the days before she went home, Letha was surrounded by her loving, caring family.
