Charles Otho Vaught

Charles Otho Vaught passed away the 27th of July 2017, in Graham, just seven weeks shy of his 90th birthday. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. in Eliasville Cemetery, under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Charles was born Sept 15, 1927 in Seymour, to Jesse James and Willie Mae (Adams) Vaught. Charles’ father died when he was 7 years old from complications from his service in the first World War. Charles was taught at a very young age that life can be unexpected. He learned to be a hard worker and helped his mother out during those younger years.

Alma Inez Grubbs Bramlet

Alma Inez Grubbs Bramlet, a long time resident of Graham, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2017, at Graham Oaks Nursing Home.  Inez was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Jean, in her home, to the late Charlie Franklin and Lena Mae (Dollins) Grubbs. She married Henry Middleton Bramlet Jr., Feb. 23, 1947, in Graham. They were married 66 years until Henry passed Nov. 7, 2013, in Graham.  Inez and Henry had four children, Anita Mae, David Lee, Charles Franklin and James Doyne. They raised their children in the communities of Jean, Olney and Houston. Mom was an amazing homemaker.

Geneva ‘Bebe’ Marrion Smith

Geneva "Bebe" Marrion Smith, 76, of Granbury, died July 20, 2017. She was a wife, mother, aunt, friend and retired teacher. Bebe was born in Deming, N.M. on Oct. 18, 1940, to Richard M. and Geneva Melton Hardison. Bebe spent her formative years growing up in El Paso. She graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with graduate courses at Texas Tech in Lubbock. Bebe was privileged to have an opportunity to teach 31 years in various school districts in Texas.

Harry Register

Harry Register, 82, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 14, 2017 in Graham. Funeral services were held Monday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cowboy Church Gatherin'. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Harry was born Nov. 3, 1934 in Lefors, to the late George E. and Delia (Cofer) Register. He married Clara Maudine Smith May 13, 1955 in Eastland. Harry worked in the oilfield most of his life as a driller, tool pusher and owner of a drilling company.

Sherman Ryan Beddingfield

Ryan was born Dec. 23, 1975, to Sherman "Butch" and Connie Beddingfield, in Corpus Christi. Ryan was suddenly taken from us on July 13, 2017 and is walking the Streets of Gold with his dad. He loved his family and loved being surrounded by family and friends. He worked in the oilfield as a roughneck and driller he was admired by many. As many say, keep turnin’ to the right. Ryan had a soft heart and would help anyone in need.

Donny Morgan

Donny Morgan, 66, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Graham. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 17, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with Larry Wooldridge Sr. officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney. Donny was born Jan. 3, 1951 in Olney, to the late Hoyet Mark Morgan and Sissy Maurine (Lowhorn) Morgan. He married Joy Jones on Oc. 27, 1983. He moved to Newcastle in 1983 from Olney and worked at Air Tractor until his retirement. Donny was quite the inventor. He loved fishing, hunting and going to the casino.

Mable Irene Jennings Harrelson

Mable Irene Jennings Harrelson was born in Jean on Jan.13, 1931, to Curtis and Alice Jennings. She passed away July 7, 2017 in Mesquite, after fighting a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Upon graduation from Graham High School in 1948, she moved to Dallas to join her sister Mary and other friends at a boarding house in Oak Cliff. She soon became acquainted with Wayne Harrelson and they fell in love and then married Nov. 24, 1949. Her greatest pleasure in life was raising five daughters and caring for her three grandchildren.

Carol Nicholas Trout

Carol Trout, 83, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 in Graham. Funeral will be held Thursday, July 13, at 10 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Carol was born Dec. 24, 1933 in Medicine Mound, to the late Tomie H. and Mary T. (Holden) Nicholas. She married Cloys Trout, Nov. 4, 1950 in Oklaunion. Carol moved to Graham in 1952 from Vernon.

Cynthia Marie Berend

Cynthia Marie Berend, 63, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, in Graham. Cindy was born March 30, 1954 in Olney, to the late Vera Hoff and Edmund Joseph Conrady. She graduated from Windthorst High School, and received her bachelor's degree in education from Midwestern State University. She married her high school sweetheart, Mike Berend, on Nov. 25, 1972, in Windthorst.
