Ruth Alcorn, 82, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 in Graham. Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Graham with burial to follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  Ruth was born April 13, 1935 in Jack County, to the late Arnie and Eula (Collier) Rhodes.   She married Bill Alcorn on June 3, 1977 in Graham.

Wayne Bartlett, 65, passed away at his home, Saturday Aug. 5, 2017. A memorial service will be held at Eddleman Park Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. close to the RV park. His nephew, Phil Haberthur, will lead the service and Joe Haberthur will lead prayer. Wayne was born Sept. 29, 1951 in Albany, Ga., to the late Herbert Farrion and Wynell (Pounds) Bartlett. He married Julie Seigler on June 29, 1987 in Perryton.

Doris Miller Cook, 88, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at her home in Graham. Her funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. in Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Doris was born May 12, 1929 in Graham, to the late G.L. “Lam” and Lila Fulp McSpadden Miller.  She married Harrell F. Cook on May 16, 1948, in Graham. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1992. Doris was a lifetime resident of Graham and retired from Riggs Petroleum as a bookkeeper after 25 years.

John Lee Holcombe, 78, peacefully passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at the First United Methodist Church in Olney, with Rev. Harrell Braddock Jr., pastor, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney. John Lee was born May 21, 1939 in Weinert, to the late Luther Dell Holcombe and Minnie Mae (Furrh) Holcombe. He graduated from Mattson High School in 1957 and then attended the Department of Public Safety Academy in Austin.

W.K. Smith passed on to a higher mountain Aug. 2, 2017 in Creede, Colo. – his home away from home, God's Country. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 at Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  Those who knew W.K. knew how full of love, life and much laughter he was. He was a great story teller who always made time for a story and learning more about others.

Monica "Nana" Hancock Rippin, 78, surrounded by family and friends, passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 in Graham. Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at Graham Bible Church. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Monica was born Feb. 5, 1939 in Newport, Texas, to the late Chris Boedecker and Ouida Lemons Hancock. She married Charles "Rip" Rippin, March 5, 1965 in Bowie.He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2010. Monica was a Realtor in Fort Worth for many years and homemaker.

Spencer Boyd Flint Jr., 59, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 at his home in Austin. A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug.7, at 11 a.m. in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Spencer was born June 2, 1958 in Graham, to Spencer Boyd Flint Sr. and Dorothy Christine Easter Flint. Spencer was a loving and devoted son, an awesome brother, and “the most amazing uncle and great-uncle on the planet!” He was a loving, caring friend to all he knew, going out of his way to help and do for others. He was a funny, cheerful man who loved to make others smile.

William Vernon "Bill" George passed away Aug. 2, 2017 at his home in Graham. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Salem-Crestview United Methodist Church in Graham. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bill was born Sept. 25, 1932 in Graham, to Vernon and Ethel York George, and lived in Graham most of his life. He was retired from Hexcel Corporation and worked for several years at Media Recovery.

Thomas Henry “Tom” Cain passed away Aug. 1, 2017 at his home in Graham. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the First Presbyterian Church in Graham, where he was an elder and a longtime member. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Tom was born June 9, 1943 in Fullerton, California.

Jacob "Lane" Brock, 27, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Graham. A graveside funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. in Loving Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  Lane was born March 12, 1990 in Olney.
