Stephen Lewis Joyce, age 68, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Olney Hamilton Hospital. Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Wildcatter Ranch Pavilion in Graham, Texas.

Stephen was born on March 1, 1953, in Graham, Texas, to Lewis Clinton Joyce and Mary Louise (Wright) Joyce. On Sept. 3, 1978, he married the love of his life, Sandra Lynne Moody in Graham, Texas, where they resided for the next 43 years. They have two daughters, Lindsay Allison (Joyce) Kubicsek and Kelsey Anne (Joyce) Jackson.

Shawn David Barkey, age 47, of Graford, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, in Horseshoe Bay. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at 301 Observation Point Road in Graford.

Shawn was born Nov. 15, 1973, in Austin, to Grant and Donna Barkey. Shawn was baptized June 24, 2003. Shawn spent his childhood growing up on the shores of Inks Lake, and he attended grade school in Burnet. In his youth, Shawn was well-known as an avid and accomplished golfer so when he wasn’t on the lake you could find him at the golf course.

Betty Jean Harris, 89, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, in Graham. Graveside funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday Sept. 30, 2021, at Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Betty was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Newcastle, Texas, to the late Lilly Irene (Brogdon) Reynolds and Emory Peters Reynolds, Sr. She was a lifetime resident of Newcastle and a former store clerk. Betty married Tommy Gene Harris in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1981.

Joe Scott Elliott, 40, of Beeville, Texas, and formerly of Graham, Texas, passed away tragically on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021.

A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at the Republic in Beeville, Texas. Another celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2021, at Faith Center Assembly of God in Graham.

Cynthia Montgomery Tiernan, 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Roanoke, TX on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021. A private family internment is scheduled.

Cynthia was born June 29, 1954, in Austin, to Elton and the late Betty (Wadsworth) Montgomery. She graduated from Graham High School and attended the University of Texas.

Cynthia married the love of her life, Roy Tiernan, on May 10, 2002.

Bill Hearne, age 82, of Olney, Texas passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 23, 2021, in a Graham hospital.

Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Olney with Chad Edgington, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at Lunn’s Funeral Home in Olney.

Nellie Gifford, 88, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, in Graham. Graveside funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, at Rock Creek Cemetery in Jack County. Arrangements are with Morrison Funeral Home.

Nellie was born June 9, 1933. in Bryson to the late Martha Bennett Hill and Jess Sanderson. She married Ben Nolan “Blackie” Gifford. He preceded her death in 1982. Nellie and Blackie operated the Phillips 66 Station in Jacksboro for many years. Nellie was a lifetime resident of Bryson, Texas.

Gina Michelle Grimes, 56, passed away Sept. 21, 2021. She was born Sept. 1, 1965, in Olney, Texas to Charles Eugene Grimes and Robbye Nell Norman Grimes.

She attended school in Graham and graduated in 1984. Gina attended Midwestern State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. She worked as an X-Ray Tech and a teacher. Her greatest love in life were her three children. She was passionate about reading, George Strait, Judge Judy, and her dog Jack. She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.

Don Allen Eason, 88, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, in Graham. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Don was born July 30, 1933, to Erving and Daisy Parrish Eason in Jacksboro, Jack County, TX. He married Barbara Ann Ford in Jacksboro, TX, on June 22, 1956.

He is survived by: Son, Monte H. Eason of Graham, and son Jeffrey A. Eason and wife, Melissa of Trophy Club, TX; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Reymundo Guerrero, age 74, passed away in Graham on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021. A funeral service will be held at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  

Reymundo was born on Oct. 27, 1946, in Haskell Texas to Jose Guerrero and Emilia (Chapa) Guerrero.  

He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 stationed in Bamberg Germany.
